Lorne's beautiful Erskine River spills its way through temperate rainforest down to the Southern Ocean.
Follow the river from the Falls to the end of it's journey.

'This walk was a real treat. I enjoyed the sense that this really was a journey from the source to the sea. Seeing Erskine Falls and then following its meanders down the hill was special. Being a warm day it was great to splash the cool waters every now and then.
Our group enjoyed the challenge of the walk without it being a stupid 'man pitted against nature' thing. Thanks for letting us set a pace with which everyone felt comfortable.
Thanks to Phil for his experience and knowledge, for being there to help along the way and for his relaxed interps(interpretation) of the plants and animals. What was that crazy little bird again? The food was great, and plenty of it! Gaiters were a great idea too!

This walk is for the walker who enjoys a challenge while exploring this beautiful river as it spills down to the sea. Your guide will ensure you have a coat, day pack, water-bottle and sturdy ankle-supported walking shoes and you are ready to go.
Then the walk begins! Starting slowly the group begins the journey, stopping to enjoy the sights of the waterfall along the way. The group walks at a pace that suits everyone and stops to rest where needed. Your guide will ensure everyone is comfortable and that safety is paramount.
Perhaps you’ll spot a beautiful spider-web or the graceful unfurling of a tree fern frond. Birds abound on this walk. Our guides know the species and can show you the special features. About half way along the journey, you'll stop for a delicious morning/afternoon tea –gourmet coffee, exquisite teas and some tasty snacks of your choice –perhaps a freshly baked muffin, scroggin, a yummy fine chocolate and some fresh fruit.
Heading on, you'll enjoy magnificent views of the ocean and the stunning forest scenery. If you enjoy plants, we can show you special orchids and explain the relationship of the Australian bush with fire. At the end of the journey, as the ocean beckons, a refreshing glass of iced water awaits. Taking off your shoes and stretching your toes, enjoy the sense of achievement at having reached your goal.
